“Sudan Clashes Leave 56 Dead and 600 Injured: Calls for Urgent Medical Aid and End to Fighting”

The Sudan Doctors Syndicate announced that the death toll has risen to 56, while the number of wounded has reached about 600.

In a statement, it added that the total number of dead and injured who were counted from hospitals and health facilities is as follows:

The total number of civilian deaths is 56.
Dozens of deaths among the military.
The total number of injuries is 595, including military casualties, and dozens of critical cases.
Some cases of military injuries and deaths have been transferred to regular hospitals, and some are beyond our scope.

The Preliminary Committee of the Sudanese Doctors Union called on international and regional humanitarian organizations and health bodies to provide assistance and provide medical supplies to all hospitals and health facilities in Khartoum and conflict areas in the various states.

It called for an end to the fighting, the provision of safe passages for civilians, the passage of ambulances and medical personnel, and the provision of the necessary insurance for health facilities and hospitals.
