This Friday, November 19 the Libournais gathered for the traditional annual general assembly, about 80 people responded to the invitation of President Jean Jacques Szkolinik.

Damien Chaminaud takes the floor to make a return of the season of the young shoots of the club and mentions a 30% increase in the workforce for this season and ends with a report of the results. Jean Jacques Szkolnik proposes a new composition of office which will be adopted unanimously, as well as Jean Jacques had stipulated during the previous GA he passes the baton of the presidency, Damien Chaminaud is elected president.
Didier Tiffon during his speech will come back to the link between the departmental committee and the LIBOURNE club which made it possible to organize the Gironde departmental trophy as well as the organization of PC races, he will also notify that the Libourne club is the first traditional cycling club in Gironde in terms of membership. Jean Louis Arcaraz Sports deputy for the city of Libourne come back to the Tour de France 2021 and his visit to our land, He will present the medal of the City of Libourne to Jean Jacques Szkolnik in gratitude for the 28 years of presidency and for all the actions that he led for cycling.

Words from President Damien Chaminaud:
The objective of this season will be to ensure a resumption of the torch in good conditions, which is a real challenge after the 28 years of Jean Jacques.
The appointment within the office of assistants in each category will bring about a real dynamic and a sharing of ideas. After 4 years or the emphasis on the bicycle school made it possible to inflate the workforce through training. Emilie Crozat will have to continue this work. It is important to continue this dynamic in each category.
For this Nicolas Debenne has received my full confidence and he will have the task of energizing and uniting the workforce to create a team atmosphere and we would like to set 3 big goals this season.
Laurent Gabas, an assiduous and much appreciated rider in the peloton, will also have to be a proposing force to weld the Juniors / Seniors squad.
For the Masters category He was for me the only one who could be so invested and exemplary due to the multiple podiums and titles of champion of France, Jean Jacques Szkolnik.
Thierry Bernagaud will have the heavy task of developing Track cycling within the club. It will also have to develop Women’s cycling, something that is really close to my heart to allow our women who make up our team to participate in 100% girls’ competitions from this season. The objective will be to bring them to 2 or 3 great races from this season or even more depending on the motivation of the workforce.
Finally Frédéric Brudy will have to be a key element for the Cyclosportif workforce. Remember that this season the Libournais won the FFC Team Challenge of the Cyclosportives de nouvelle Aquitaine.
I would also like our club to be a major player in the Gironde road and cyclo cross organizations in each category to offer races to our runners.

1975 2nd Royan Blaye, 2nd Blaye Jonzac Blaye
1976 Military Service he is at the CC Saint Médard en Jalles club
1977 2nd to Royan Blaye, 2nd in Libourne (160kms), selected for the route de France, Ruban Granitier Breton, the Tour de l’Avenir, 3rd by team of 4 riders in the Aquitaine Against the Clock Championship (100kms)
1978 2nd in the Tour de Gironde, 3rd in Bordeaux Saintes
1979 2nd at the night in Libourne, 1st at the 1st stage of the Tour de Roussillon international race (he wears the Yellow Jersey), 1st at the 3rd stage of the Tour de l’Yonne
1980 he is at the CC Beaulac Bernos club

I can’t count all his victories but more than 250 it’s been sure since he started.
He is also the father of 3 children, one of whom is a mechanic in a pro cycling team.
His grandchildren take over by participating in training at the bicycle school.
