Sud denounces the “vaccination order” made to caregivers

By Alain Babaud – [email protected]

The union, mobilized this Monday, March 15 in the morning Place de Verdun, believes that the government wants to hide its shortcomings by depriving the pointing of the nursing staff

Vaccination against Covid-19 is not mandatory, including for caregivers. But the pressure is increasing on hospital workers and the idea of obligation is progressing. A situation denounced by the South union, mobilized this Monday morning March 15, 2021. Place de Verdun, around thirty agents have set up a “large hospital market” to denounce this prospect as well as the increasing privatization, in their eyes, of the missions of the public hospital. They consider themselves to be the victims, once again, of the “false communication” of a government which, since the beginning of the crisis, aims by this “to mask its own failures” (lack of masks and gowns, too few place in intensive care, delays in vaccine delivery, etc.).

The “injunction” to be vaccinated, Nathalie Baunier, nurse, clearly rejects it. “Vaccination is a personal choice and it must remain so! »And to ask not to get the wrong target. If there has been a cluster within the Rochelle hospital itself, in recent weeks, “it is not the fault of the caregivers”. The “real leaders” are elsewhere. “If we contaminate ourselves in our services, it is because we are chronically understaffed, without equipment in number and quality, that we change in unsuitable locker rooms and that we do not have enough coats. , that doctors and management prioritize activity and profitability over safety, that we are forced to work while we are contaminated… ”
