Sucre Clinic: the transfer of internees to the Sanitary Pole would be postponed until Saturday

The operation will be carried out under strict security measures and will be coordinated by the COE, which agreed to the provisional closure of the health facility due to the Covid-19 outbreak that was registered at the site.

38 people are affected in the transfer; 36 of them, affiliated to Pami and the remaining two, with coverage of the Apross.

Hisopados negativos

Rubén Ovelar, regional delegate for the social work of national retirees and pensioners, assured The voice that “within the worrisome situation, it is necessary to rescue as positive the fact that all the swabs performed on the inmates tested negative, as reported by the Ministry of Health“Of the province, valued the official.

Ovelar also specified that two of those affiliated with the national social security institute “are on mechanical respiratory assistance”, so the displacement in these cases requires rigorous protocols.

The scheme planned for the transfer is similar to the one that was deployed in mid-May to take 51 inmates at the Italian Hospital to the Health Pole, where an outbreak of the infection was also registered.

In principle, all the transferred will be housed in the San Roque Hospital, since none are infected with coronavirus, according to the first test.

First steps

The decision to evacuate those housed at the Sucre clinic was made after a doctor who provided on-call services at the boarding school tested positive for coronavirus and eight other health professionals were also known to be affected.

These nine cases were known after a first swab of 30 employees of the Santa Rosa 770 establishment, in the Center of the Capital, whose staff amounts to about 300 people.

The clinic has been quarantined and will be disinfected so that it can reopen as soon as possible, Health reported.
