“Before talking about this, I asked my daughter for permission, and she allowed me to speak,” Tannis begins.

“She is now completely healthy, but at the age of thirteen she discovered a very serious illness in her daughter – Hodgkin’s lymphoma, cancer in the fourth stage,” the chef reveals.

He explains that such moments in life change everything. “It’s hard to tell those experiences.”

The popular chef says in an interview that he spent a year with his daughter Natalia in a children’s hospital to fight to overcome the disease, and “much of this fight is nutrition – what children are given so they can recover to have strength, energy”.

Wanting to help, Tannis soon published a book, the proceeds of which were donated to the Children’s Hospital. Later, together with the working group and sponsors, a new concept of catering and kitchen was created, which was realized in the project “Eat Joy”.

Tannis does not hide that he is satisfied with what he has done and his personal experience has been useful.
