This week, the TV3 show “Almost Ideal Dinner” brings together the company of a colorful musician – singer Dināra Rudāne, musician from the group “Doubla Faced Eels” Mārtiņš Gailītis or Mark, eternal punk and businessman Herberts Blumbergs or Herbe and world-renowned violinist Kristīne Balīanas.
The first evening of the “almost perfect dinner”, when Dinara took on the role of a housewife, turned colorful. Christine, who lives in Berlin, made no secret of the fact that she was bored because she was unable to negotiate, and was outraged at the behavior of the other diners at the table. Now it was time for Kristine to show her cooking and hospitality skills.
Kristine discovered that she likes to experiment in the kitchen and often even in the middle of the night she starts to cook something seriously, such as marinating meat. Also during the show, the musician decided to try something new.
The violinist also revealed that there are two things that do not particularly go to her heart, and that is washing dishes and peeling potatoes, which, according to Dinara, is forgivable for her. While cutting the onion, the musician discovered something more interesting about herself – her fingers are “insured for millions”.
“Additional forces are needed, otherwise there will be dinner tomorrow for breakfast,” Kristine explained why her sister Margarita was also involved in the preparation, and together they made several dishes with which the violinist was ready to surprise her guests.
Mark and Herbe warmed up for a big meal with a special drink – an infusion of beaver glands, also popularly known as “hunter’s viagra”, which Kristine served, diluted with orange juice. “Nothing surprises me in this life, what infusions are made,” Herbe said.
In the snack, Kristīne served meatballs or “Dobele pearls”, the recipe for which was “dullo” invented by herself and which was to be enjoyed using chopsticks.
“The snack along with the beaver infusion cocktail was very good for preparing the warts for a beautiful dinner,” Herbe praised the first dish.
Kristīne wanted to find out if her colleagues had had any curiosity on stage. Dinar revealed there has been poisoning and then takes over the uncertainty as to whether the concert will be pulled to an end because it is so bad. Mark once had his pants torn in the back during the concert. “But what saved me was that I had black raspberries,” he recalled.-
At the main course, Kristīne had prepared foil-fried meat together with potatoes and vegetables, which the hostess served on the table with all the shiny material. “You have to go to the bed – there is a surprise in the middle,” Kristine urged. Dinara, who does not eat meat, had a specially prepared soup, however, after tasting the “bed”, the boys each had their own portion of soup.
After the attachment, it was time for fun, and Kristine suggested telling everyone two true facts and one false one. It turned out that the violinist once hid the food that she did not like in the restaurant’s flowerpot. Mark, as it turns out, is a master of economics, Dinara was once shed blood.
The scariest fact about himself was revealed by Herbe, who admitted that he had once performed naked. “Who doesn’t happen to be naked on stage ?! If the soul demands and the fans want to see it, ”said punk.
“Yesterday I could not understand who they were as people. Today I have already begun to feel – there is humor…. We already met, but we broke the ice, ”explained Kristīne.
Finally, a dessert was served, and Mark admitted that he had already forgotten how delicious simple things were – a fried banana with ice cream.
Mark had noticed that Kristīne was not very involved in the conversations on the first night, but now everything was much different. “Tonight she performed coolly, we met a completely open person. I really enjoyed it. I even followed her on instagram, ”Mark said of the housewife.
Kristine earned 27 points for hosting guests – 10 points each from Dinara and Mark, but Herbe rated her diligence with seven points.
