In November 2022, with the help of the “Funds Pizskaņa” foundation, a collection of donations was started to help the popular musician Hari Zariņas – he was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in 2014, and the musician had fought the disease on his own.
But the disease was very advanced, and therefore an urgent operation in Germany was necessary. New, innovative methods were used in this operation, which, unfortunately, are not available in Latvia. The required amount of donations – 32,000 euros – was collected within 10 days in November.
Now – a few days ago – great news has been received from the musician Harij Zariņš: after the operation and a month-long treatment in Germany, the doctors have given an opinion that the new, innovative methods used during the operation have been successful, thus the operation has been successful, informs the foundation “Funds Išskania ” project manager Ruta Doveika.
Harry, through the Foundation “Consonance” Foundation, sends words of thanks to all the donors who helped him regain his health: “A big, heartfelt thank you to all the people who helped and donated so that I could have an operation with a special method in a German clinic. According to the doctors, the operation is it was successful. The rehabilitation period is still going on, but with the permission of the doctors, I can already go on stage and continue playing music. Special thanks to the people of Latvia, who gave me a lot of good words, cheered me up, gave me strength and faith. I also want to say a big thank you to my Latvian doctor, Prof. . To Viln Lietuviet for a very professional approach, understanding and support. I thank “Fund Pizskaņa” from the bottom of my heart for everything that was done for me. Musician Harijs Zariņš is a Latvian rock legend, the founder of the groups “Opus Pro” and “Colt”, guitarist and many well-known hits (“Tu and Es”, “Pēdėja pietura”, “Shonakt”, “Man ir viss”, “Mīļā” etc.) composer and lyricist.
The foundation “Funds Pizskaņa” joins Harry and sincerely thanks every donor who helped Harry to return to the stage to continue delighting us with his great songs! Thanks also to the Latvian media, who actively participated in popularizing the aid campaign for the musician.
