CIUDAD VICTORIA, TAMAULIPAS.- After a weekend full of great matches full of goals, this Sunday the First Edition of the 2023 Correcaminos Cup concluded successfully, where more than 500 footballers gathered in the state capital to demonstrate their level within the field of play.
Since last Friday afternoon, the actions of day 1 began at the headquarters of the “Green Revolution” Sports Unit, as well as the “Eugenio Alvizo Porras” Stadium, where the participating teams sought to obtain the first victory, leaving everything on the court.
On Saturday morning the duels of the second day took place and in the afternoon the third and final duel to meet the semifinalists of the Under 13 category where Rayados Victoria would face Correcaminos Femenil, while Correcaminos Matamoros would face off against Rayados Reynosa.
In the Under 11 category, the finalists were Toros FC and Correcaminos Matamoros; in Sub 15, Correcaminos Wellness Schools against Correcaminos Amateur Sector and in Sub 17, Correcaminos Amateur Sector would fight for the title with Arsenal FC.
In the final phase, Rayados Victoria managed to beat Correcaminos Femenil 12 goals to zero and Correcaminos won two to zero against Rayados Reynosa to advance to the grand final.
At 8:30, the grand final of the Under 11 category began with the duel between Toros FC and Correcaminos Matamoros, where both teams sought to do their thing on the field of play, but the Victoria team achieved victory. two goals to zero and win the title.
In the Sub 13, the match started at 9:40 a.m. where Rayados Victoria once again imposed conditions to beat Correcaminos Matamoros six goals to zero and prove to be the best in the tournament.
On the other hand, in the Under 15 category held at the “Eugenio Alvizo Porras” Stadium, Correcaminos Amateur Sector defeated Escuelas Bienestar Correcaminos five goals to zero.
The Under 17 stellar category took place starting at 9:30 am between Correcaminos Amateur Sector and Arsenal FC, concluding the actions with a one-goal tie in regular time and on penalties, Arsenal won four goals to two to lift the competition title.
The closing and awards party took place in the same facilities of the University Stadium, where runners-up and champions of each category received their medals and trophies in recognition of the effort provided on the field that ended with the title.
