The prince received his certificate from the highest boss of the French armed forces, General François Lecointre. Prince Joachim is the first Danish officer to participate in the training, the court said on Friday.
The fact that Joachim opted for military training and the related move to Paris caused criticism in Denmark last year. Not so much because of the study, but because the prince would continue to collect his state allowance without performing public duties for it in Denmark. However, the government agreed.
