Cooperations between Chemnitz University of Technology and regional companies for new teaching offerings

The first networking meeting of the TUCacademy took place on October 30, 2024. Lecturers from Chemnitz University of Technology had the opportunity to find out about the project, gain initial insights into the results of the company survey on the competence profiles of university graduates and make contacts with regional companies. In three discussion rounds, teachers and company representatives exchanged ideas about suitable topics for microcredentials, appropriate event formats and opportunities for companies to participate in microcredentials.

Microcredentials will expand the range of courses offered at Chemnitz University of Technology from the summer semester of 2025. The offers are aimed at students and working people. Participants can then receive targeted further training in short, thematically focused and flexible learning units. In activating formats of project- and problem-based learning, participants deal with practice-relevant questions. Not only is technical content taught, but there is also an emphasis on promoting transferrable skills.

The microcredentials are carried out in cooperation between teachers from Chemnitz University of Technology and regional companies. The range of offerings is to be continually expanded. Interested teachers and companies are welcome to contact the project staff (tucacademy@tu-chemnitz.de) at any time, who will also provide support in initiating cooperation.

Further information about the project is available on the TUCacademy website:
