Successful Intervention by Gendarmes in Fameck Domestic Dispute: Drunk Man Safely Removed from Home Without Injuries

It was around 9:30 p.m. when the gendarmes of the Thionville company, assisted by personnel from the Psig, intervened on rue du Justemont in Fameck for an entrenched man.

Following a domestic dispute, the 53-year-old man locked himself in his home while his partner and one of his sons managed to get out. The area was cordoned off by the Thionville military while two regional negotiators undertook discussions to remove the individual, who was drunk, from his accommodation.

The objective was reached around 11 p.m. without any injuries. The fifty-year-old was treated by emergency services and taken to hospital where he remains this Friday evening. In the home, the soldiers found a weapon and a cartridge.

However, it appears that the individual did not show suicidal intent.
