Successful Implementation of School Child Immunization Month (BIAS) in Boyolali Regency

Boyolali – In an effort to improve the health and safety of the younger generation, the School Child Immunization Month (BIAS) which includes the Diphtheria-Tetanus (MR) and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines has been successfully implemented in three educational institutions in Kuwiran Village, Banyudono District, Boyolali Regency. This activity took place on Tuesday, (22/8/2023).

In this activity, Bhabinkamtibmas Polsek Banyudono Aipda Ali Munandir and Bripka Tri Haryadi with a team from the Banyudono 2 Health Center led by dr. Riska synergizes in the smooth implementation of the immunization program. Their presence shows good coordination between the police, schools, and health authorities.

This activity was attended by grade 1 and grade 5 students from SDN1, SDN2, and MIM Ds. Kuwiran. A total of 75 students received immunizations, consisting of 10 students from SDN 1 Kuwiran, 28 students from SDN 2 Kuwiran, and 37 students from MIM Kuwiran. And it was attended by teachers from each school who also accompanied the students during the immunization process.

In his remarks, dr. Riska explained the importance of vaccination in maintaining health and preventing disease. He reminded that vaccination is not only for personal good, but also for the good of society as a whole. The students were given a brief explanation about the vaccine given and its benefits for their health.

Meanwhile Aipda Ali Munandir and Bripka Tri Haryadi expressed their appreciation for the active participation of all parties in running the BIAS program. They stressed the importance of synergistic cooperation between various agencies to realize the health and safety of children in the Banyudono area.

This School Children’s Immunization Month (BIAS) activity is clear evidence of a shared commitment to maintaining the health of the younger generation. Through these efforts, it is hoped that students will have better protection against infectious diseases and have a brighter future.
