Successful Hatch and Release of Rare Green Turtle Chicks in Koh Tao

Upon inspection, it was found that baby turtles had begun to hatch and that baby turtles stuck in the sand were rescued. Out of 91 eggs, 60 baby green turtles were found to have hatched. The hatch rate was 66 percent. Three of the eggs were found dead with deformed baby turtles. and 28 unhatched eggs

The unhatched eggs were collected for further research. Officials of SWAT, members of the Rak Koh Tao Club Local villagers and tourists work together to prepare the area for releasing the turtles. and release baby turtles into the sea at 8:00 p.m. on September 23, 2023. There will also be knowledge about sea turtles for those who come to release the turtles.
