Top grades at school graduation and at the same time highly committed: This is what distinguishes the school graduates honored at the end of the 2020/21 school year in the Kaisersaal of the Munich Residenz. Representative for this year’s graduates from all types of schools and administrative districts, around 50 pupils were invited, who not only had an excellent school leaving certificate, but also demonstrated outstanding social and voluntary commitment.

Minister of Education Prof. Dr. Michael Piazolo praised the wide range of achievements at the ceremonial handover of the certificate: “In this year of the Corona crisis, you got an excellent school leaving certificate – despite the challenges of the lockdown, distance lessons and the final exams under strict hygiene requirements. At the same time, you did not allow yourself to be dissuaded from getting involved socially and voluntarily and working for your fellow human beings, be it as a school spokesman or tutor, through your association work or as a shopping helper during the peak of the pandemic. Your exemplary commitment shows me: Our country needs young people like you! Thank you very much for your commitment and I wish you all the best and much success in the new phase of your life in your job or studies! “
