Karim Chakhite, president of the Eye Soccer association, had been waiting for it for a year. The first edition of the U13 Elite Eye Soccer League football tournament has kept all its promises. On the stadiums of the Vieille Usine in Stiring-Wendel, 24 teams including pro clubs (Marseille, Metz, Nancy, Strasbourg, Dijon, Troyes or even Sedan) and local amateur clubs (Stiring-Wendel, Forbach, Behren, Saint- Avold, Creutzwald or Sarreguemines) clashed for the title, which AS Nancy Lorraine ultimately won by beating FC Metz. The organization was exemplary and praised by the coach of Olympique de Marseille. At the edge of the field, there were even recruiters from the Marseille club, the Stade de Reims or the Racing Club de Strasbourg. Karim Chakhite only hopes for one thing: to be able to organize a second edition next year.
