The fair, held in commemoration of Chilean Cuisine Day, offered an innovative experience full of traditions, with the participation of prominent heritage artisans, chefs, artists, food stalls, tastings, food trucks, breweries, wineries and more.
Outstanding heritage artisans, chefs, artists, food stalls, tastings, food trucks, breweries, wineries and much more gathered at the Rancagua House of Culture this Friday and Saturday to bring to life the first version of the ‘O Gastronomic Fair ‘Higgins in Boca 2024’.
The initiative organized by the Development and Innovation Corporation, in conjunction with the Department of Heritage and Tourism of the Municipality of Rancagua and the O’Higgins Restaurant Guild Association, was part of the commemoration of Chilean Cuisine Day to promote the gastronomic wealth existing in the O’Higgins region, through an innovative staging and full of traditions to promote the area as an attractive tourist destination.
In this way, the ‘O’Higgins en Boca 2024’ Gastronomic Fair was positioned as a free space for the public that featured traditional food stands, live kitchens, prominent chefs, tastings, food trucks, cafeteria, live music, conversations of gastronomic themes, heritage crafts, breweries, wineries and much more in order to generate an innovative meeting space that makes visible the chefs of the region, who through their gastronomic proposals, reflect the food wealth of the territory.
Gastronomy is a resource that is part of the cultural, social and economic history of people and their communities, and an important enhancer of the tourist offer of destinations, as it is capable of reflecting the inherent lifestyles of each city. Thus, one of the purposes of En Boca was for the community to value Chilean cuisine, learn about the history of its dishes and their evolution over time and have the opportunity to live a unique culinary experience.
