A successful extramural vaccination day was held this weekend in the province of Chiriquí, where more than four thousand people attended more than 20 transitory points located throughout the province between Saturday and Sunday.

The nursing teams from the Chiriquí region were enthusiastic about the reception not only of the influenza vaccine but also about the request made for other vaccines that are part of the national scheme.

Among the most visited points were the Cervantes Park and the transport terminal, as well as the Plaza Terronal shopping center and those established in the Barú district.

Likewise, people flocked to the fast author installed in Dolega’s Minsa Capsi, where comfort was offered to attendees who were vaccinated even in their vehicles.

At the end of the day, it is expected to exceed three thousand doses of vaccine; however, the Regional Health Director, Gladys Novoa, recalled that during the week from Monday to Friday from 7 to 3, care is maintained in all the facilities in the province.

This vaccine must be supplied annually, and as epidemiologists have explained, the virus changes its information year after year, so a medicine must be created with the circulating strain, this is applied to people starting in April with the so-called “Vaccination of the Americas”.
