The CVC, with the support of the Serviulloa cleaning company, led an important day of environmental education, aimed at the proper management of solid waste. The space was provided thanks to the Interinstitutional Technical Committee for Environmental Education-Cidea.

An important environmental education day, aimed at the management and proper disposal of solid waste, was held in Ulloa. This problem is one of those that most afflicts the community, as determined by the diagnosis of the Interinstitutional Technical Committee on Environmental Education-Cidea.
The day was led by the CVC environmental engineer, Claribel Torres Giraldo, who had the support of technician Jaiver Henao Toro, to visit the most critical points of the municipality, especially the El Progreso sector, where homes were visited to talk about the need to find joint solutions.
The Agricultural Extension Office also participated, representing operational technician Yuly Alezandra López Moreno, and the cleaning company Serviulloa, with whom they led the collection of solid waste and debris, as well as the beautification of green areas. This important day is part of Cidea’s 2023 action plan.
“Contributing to the environmental awareness and culture of the community is of utmost importance to guarantee their qualification and participation in environmental management in the territory, hand in hand with the competent entities; as CVC we have been betting decisively on this purpose , following the instructions of senior management,” said engineer Carolina Andrea Córdoba Cano, territorial director of the DAR Norte.
For this reason, the official added, “we will work harder so that the people of Norte Vallecaucano enjoy a greater environmental culture and, therefore, are more actively linked to the optimization of the quality of natural resources.”
