Mateusz Rebecki successfully debuted in the octagon of the largest MMA organization in the world. The Pole won Nick Fiore via unanimous decision at tonight’s event UFC Vegas 67.
Rębecki started the fight with a few kicks to the opponent’s body. The Pole was very active from the beginning of the clash and landed many punches. Mateusz shortened the distance, pushing Nick towards the net. Fiore was forced to fight in reverse gear, and Rębecki continued his offensive stance. The American entered the exchanges, but it was his jaw that landed more accurate blows. The first cut appeared under the Pole’s left eye. Nick’s face also quickly began to betray the hardships of this duel. Rębecki constantly put pressure, used boxing techniques and kicks. One and a half minutes before the end of the round, Mateusz efficiently moved the action to the ground floor. The pole maintained control from the top position while attacking ground and pound. The first part of the clash was dictated by Rębecki, the statistics of significant blows were definitely on his side.
From the start of the second round, Rębecki pressed forward with more strikes. The Pole in a great style mixed attacks to the head and body. The American shortened the distance after the start of the third round, but Rębecki defended the opponent’s takedown attempt. After a few stand-up exchanges, Mateusz responded with a successful fetch. The Pole was again in the closed guard of Nick, who, however, did not pose much of a threat from the back. Rębecki kept his opponent on the ground, regularly attacking with short strikes. The pace of the fight definitely slowed down, both gentlemen were already tired. The situation did not change until the end of this clash. Rębecki won on all the scorecards, successfully making his UFC debut.
