Successful debut – Kayla Harrison finishes Holly Holm at UFC 300!

During tonight’s UFC 300, double Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison made her debut for the world’s largest MMA organization. Check out the results below.

In addition to two Olympic golds in judo, Harrison steps into the cage with a successful career in PFL MMA behind him. During the night, she had her first match in the bantamweight class. Holm, in turn, is part of the boxing Hall of Fame and has a habit of taking the hype from female stars in the sport. It was Holm who became the first fighter to knock out the former champion and superstar Ronda Rousey.

Pending start in the first round of the match. Holm initiates the clinch, but is quickly taken down. However, the UFC veteran can quickly execute a reverse and takes side control. The fighters get up and Harrison pushes his opponent up against the wall of the cage. Harrison lands a takedown and starts sending punches at his prone opponent. The former PFL star sends hard punches and elbows from top position. The match goes to a second round.

Holm tries to keep the distance to her opponent in the second round. Harrison sends off a high kick and goes right for the takedown. Holm manages to stay standing for a while, but is then taken down. Harrison goes for a rear-naked choke and the UFC veteran is forced to tap out.

After the match, Harrison says that it is an honor to share the cage with the fifth-ranked bantamweight Holm. Next, she wants what she took the leap to the UFC for – a belt! The American promises that she will be champion of the organization before the end of the year.
