“Successful Blood Drive Held in Espaly Saint-Marcel to Meet Critical Needs”

This Wednesday, April 26 took place for the first time in Espaly Saint-Marcel a blood drive in the premises of the MJC Auguste-Dumas.

Throughout the morning, the donors followed one another to accomplish this beautiful gesture that is the donation of blood, imbued with generosity and solidarity towards the sick and the injured. These donations meet daily needs as blood supplies continue to decline.

The samples were managed by a team from the French Blood Establishment (EFS) in Saint-Etienne, made up of two doctors, four nurses, a secretary and a transport and snack manager. A total of 43 bags were collected.

This morning was organized by the CCAS of the commune in partnership with the vocational school Auguste-Aymard. Pierre Bonefoy, director, and Mrs. Concil, school nurse, accompanied their students and apprentices who had volunteered. For the vast majority, it was a first. Pupils who are still minors have already signed up for next year when they come of age.

Appointment is given for next year.
