Thursday, December 14, the Los Moussanots association invited the volunteers who ensured the success of the last moussanaise to a very friendly lunch aperitif in the Jean-Pierre Pépy room.
Before this recreational moment, at the podium, President Christophe Saunière took stock and looked ahead to the future: “We wanted to bring together all of you who ensured the smooth running of the Moussanaise last September. We relaunched the association in February 2023, then also the Moussanaise and despite the short time we managed to bring together quite a few people and associations for this. The municipality also supported us well and that allowed us to get good feedback from the runners. Next year, we were able to schedule the races, the Moussanaise will take place on April 28, 2024 and for the Boër trail it will be December 15 2024. The general assembly will take place on February 8 and we will try to do something else around sport in July. Have a great end-of-year celebration.”
Michel Olive added: “For the Moussanaise it was very difficult to schedule in May as for the Boër and we reported it to the entertainment assistant, we would like to combine the trail with the Christmas market; this would bring more people to exhibitors”.
Mayor Jean-Marie Monié concluded this meeting: “First of all, congratulate you because the race went well and it gave us pleasure to see such sporting activity back in the village. I approached the new president from the Côte du Midi, Michel Py, and the director Serge Hoiban and they confirmed that they would support the two Moussanese events, it’s a good thing, it adds water to the mill.
After this meeting, runners and non-runners alike could enjoy the refreshment accompanied by good local nectars in a friendly atmosphere.
