Subway, Suburban Trains, and Trains Resume Operations in Munich Following Strike

München:U-Bahn and S-Bahn are running again – with the usual restrictions

  • On Monday, the Verdi services union and the railway and transport union (EVG) called for a major warning strike. Read here how the strike affected Germany.
  • In Munich there were no subways and trams running all day, the S-Bahn was on strike until 4 p.m. and only about every second bus was running. There were no regular flight operations at Munich Airport for two days.
  • All trains, trams and buses are now operating normally again. 770 take-offs and landings are expected at the airport today.
