NEW YORK – Subway service resumed along the F line after a teenage girl’s risky walk along the road between Manhattan and Queens.
Police say the 16-year-old girl spent nearly two hours on the tracks as she walked through the tunnels between the two districts.
His journey began at E. 63rd Street and Lexington Avenue around 1:45 pm when he stepped onto the tracks and started walking. Police initially thought someone had fallen onto the tracks by accident.
The MTA suspended F train service between the Upper East Side Station and Queensbridge for several hours on Monday.
Officers were eventually able to remove the 16-year-old from the tracks at 41st Avenue and 21st Street. Although she appeared unharmed, officials took her to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
Regular F train service has been resumed.
