Since this Monday, the suburban and interurban public transport routes of the Guaicaipuro municipality, Miranda state, in compliance with the radicalization measures of the collective 7 + 7 quarantine, implemented by the National Executive to combat covid-19, were suspended.
This was announced by the Director of Transportation of the Mayor’s Office of Guaicaipuro, Carlos Solano, in an interview with ÚN, who indicated that only urban routes should be working, which work internally in the parishes.
In that sense, he recalled that the official stops arranged are located in the vicinity of the Alí Primera station of the Los Teques Metro, as well as the Los Teques vial near PDVSA Intevep, the El Cabotaje sector and La Matica.
«Only the urban routes will be active, which are those that internally communicate the Los Teques parish in its different neighborhoods, whose arrival will be as far as the adjacencies of the city. All other routes are suspended, those suburban routes that go to Carrizal, San Antonio, Caracas, Maracay, Valencia are suspended just like the interurban routes, “he said.
He argued that the TransMiranda system will continue to operate to provide service to prioritized personnel, who are exempted from radicalization measures such as: health, security, basic services, telecommunications and food sectors.
Likewise, he reported that a group of inspectors is being deployed at each of the stops to monitor compliance with the measures, while the Los Lagos Terminal remains closed. Therefore, he urged to abide by the measures because those who do not do so will be sanctioned by the competent authorities.
“It is ensuring that the biosecurity measures are met. The sanctions range from the retention of the unit, suspension of the provision of free fuel equipment, as well as the application of fines by Polimiranda, “he said.
