Working capital subsidies could be granted to companies with a decline in turnover before the Covid-19 crisis, according to the amendments to the regulations on support for companies affected by the Covid-19 crisis to ensure the flow of working capital submitted to the Government of the Ministry of Economics (MoE).
The current regulation envisages issuing a one-time grant to companies in all sectors, which in November or December 2020 will see a decrease in turnover by at least 20%, compared to the average turnover in August, September and October 2020 combined.
The Minister of Economics explains what the intention of the Ministry of Economics is and whether it is also supported by the coalition partners in the government Jānis Vitenbergs (KPV LV).
Changes in support measures for entrepreneurs are assessed by Swedbank’s chief economist in Latvia Liva Zorgenfreija.
