Recordings can be submitted for the Latvian Metal Music of the Year award until January 14 in album or mini-album format. Heavy music records released between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023 are welcome.
Applications are welcome to the e-mail address “latmetgadabalva@gmail.com”. The application must include the name of the band or artist, the name of the recording, as well as a link to a website or streaming service where a digital version of the recording is available. Application for the Latvian Metal Music of the Year award is free of charge.
The winners will be determined by a jury and an internet vote. The jury will select the nominees to put forward for the Internet vote. The start of online voting will be announced on January 22.
The award ceremony and concert will take place on February 16 at the “Black Friday” club. The groups “Procession”, “Deodium, “Uguns” and others will perform at the concert, the event will be led by “Deathperado”.
This year, the annual metal music award will be presented in Latvia for the 13th time. Its initiators are the representatives of the association “Zobens un lemess” and the music club “Melnā piedtdiena”, which has been organizing metal music events since 1996.
