A subject who was dedicated to the production and sale of sexual content was captured by officials of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) in the Los Guayos municipality of Carabobo state.
The criminal was identified as José Enrique Betancourt López, 28 years old, who recorded intimate material with minors and then marketed them through the social networks X and Snapchat, as well as on websites.
Managing to benefit economically, by receiving multiple payments from different countries, affecting the physical and emotional well-being of the victims.
Capture and evidence
Betancourt’s capture was materialized after extensive web work and social profiling carried out by detectives from the Computer Crime Investigations Division after several anonymous complaints received by the agency and meticulous film analysis of the videos collected.
After the arrest of Betancourt López, the scientific police located Venezuelan and Brazilian documents, and a cell phone, which will be subjected to a rigorous expert process.
The case was ordered by the 96th National Prosecutor’s Office Specialty in Trafficking in Children and Adolescents.
