(CRHoy.com).-The Municipal Police of Escazú, with the help of the video protection system, arrested a subject the morning of April 28, while he was robbing a sound tower in a house, to end up capturing him a second time.
The security cameras helped to arrest this man and he was taken to the Prosecutor’s Officehowever, after the intervention, as there was no complaint by the affected party, they released him.
Hours later, the same individual stole a bicycle. When he was detained a second time, other measures were tried, but the owner of the bike decided not to file the complaint, so he was released again.
“We monitor him to see if he is moving from one house to another. As the subject advances, it is determined that rather he is trying to leave the canton (…) a patrol intervenes near the border with Alajuelita and the man cannot say where he is taking it from (…) later, the arrest is made, ”reported Jose Rodolfo Ibarra, spokesman for the Municipal Police of Escazú.
Just before he was released, the person affected by the first theft arrived and decided to file a complaint.. Thus, the Police handed him over to the Public Ministry to proceed with the man’s legal situation.
According to the authorities, This type of situation occurs approximately 10 times a month.
