Subaru confirms the arrival of an electric SUV for the European market

Subaru confirmed it will launch a midsize electric SUV on the European market by 2025. The manufacturer did not share many details, limiting himself only to pointing out that this vehicle will be similar in size to the Forester. Also, it will be built starting from a shared platform with Toyota. It will probably be the stock version of the concept car unveiled earlier this year. On that occasion, the brand had shown a prototype characterized by angular lines and a muscular look, especially on the front.

At the moment it is not clear if the production model will continue to have this particular design or if Subaru will decide to completely revise the aesthetics. The brand had also communicated that its future electric car would have available technologies such as all-wheel drive. There are no other details but Subaru has promised that more information will be shared next year. The hope is that a first prototype of the car can also be shown in 2021.

With this model, Subaru decided to finally enter the electric car sector after starting to electrify its range of passenger cars. As previously communicated, the goal is to reach 40% of sales of electrified models by 2030. By 2035, however, all the cars of the manufacturer will be electrified. At this point all that remains is to be patient and await further news regarding the project of this new electric SUV.
