JAKARTA – Subarian EU.1.1 Omicron reported to trigger a spike in cases Covid-19 in several European countries. Currently, experts are monitoring the virus, which is said to be increasingly complex.
The American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has also added the EU.1.1 subvariant to the list of new variant types. Where this Omicron subvariant was discovered by scientists after a spike in cases Covid-19 in Europe.

Fakta Subvarian EU.1.1
1. Soaring Since Early 2023
Subvariant EU.1.1 is a more distant descendant of variant XBB.1.5. This subvariant has been surging since early 2023, with some mutations in its spike protein possibly driving its spread.
The CDC estimates that EU.1.1 cases now account for 1.7 percent of cases in the US nationally. But now it has the possibility of increasing to 8.7 percent of cases spread across Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.
Even so, it is too early to know whether EU.1.1 will cause new or different symptoms in the US. Despite some anecdotal reports, health officials say there is little evidence of the earlier variant causing a change in the effects of Covid-19.
