In general, the Kh-69 missile was created taking into account the Kh-59MK2, primarily for the Su-57 – its rectangular internal compartments. And therefore it is not surprising that it can also be launched from this combat aircraft, but… But still, there is an interesting BUT…
First of all, if it is officially confirmed that it was indeed a Su-57, then we have a loud precedent of yet another humiliation of the Russian military-industrial complex and the destruction of the myth of “no analogues!” After all, the stealth fighter was fixed, recognized and escorted, which, most likely, caused the cancellation of the combat mission. Losing such a bird over the sea is not just a slap in the face, but a right hook and a knockout. But the fact of discovery is no less a stone in the bed of “dry”.
