The STYRIAN SOUNDS festival is celebrating its anniversary edition in one weekend and is once again presenting Styrian pop music on 2 floors at the PPC in Graz from April 11th to 13th! A broad mix of musical styles, visual arts and DJ culture by and for the local scene! After topping annual visitor records up to 2019, the festival of Styrian pop culture had to suspend 2020 and, at short notice, 2021 due to the pandemic. After the completely sold-out festival days in 2022 and 2023, the festival will now remain in the Styrian spring in 2024!

“Do the Ripper, again!” One of the most influential Styrian bands of the last two decades is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of their iconic debut 7″ WILD TEENS. On the occasion of STYRIAN SOUNDS, the 60ies Garage collective is not only bringing a best of program of all their hits, but also the first brand new songs since their last album “Zombies of Love” from 2010 on stage! Welcome Back!
AVEC is our national hotspot for the first time, she is currently working on her new album and is bringing the first samples with her famous full-length live band to Graz. SHARKTANK with the Weizer rapper MILE have delivered one of the most important domestic albums of last year with “Acting Funny”, are a pure joy live and rightly nominated for this year’s AMADEUS AWARD 2024. Fingers crossed! SALÒ is the current scene hero with sold out shows from Vienna to Berlin, a (South) Styrian force of nature and virtually invincible live. BON JOUR is a kind of supergroup and one of the most exciting local music projects consisting of members from, among others, Olympique, Mynth, Makemakes and the Styrian Julian Pieber from GOOD WILSON. Our favorite uncle ONK LOU, together with his Styrian buddy and musical companion Thomas Gieferl (dr), is perhaps facing the most important year of his career – there is an incredibly good album in the drawer for 2024! Speaking of fresh albums – exclusive RELEASE SHOWS of Styrian productions come this year from, among others, GRAND HOTEL SCHILLING, ROTE AUGEN, SLADEK, FETTE FETE, COINFLIP CUTIE, ANNA ABSOLUT, PRYNE, MODEST ODA…
The already traditional STYRIAN SOUNDS Opening Concert will be performed in this year’s anniversary year with “timpani and (especially many) trumpets” by the Graz brass collective BUENA BANDA – a harmonious “festival fanfare” for the tenth anniversary! Time to party!
