The first match in the home Merkur Arena of the new ADMIRAL Bundesliga season brings champions and defending champions SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz a full house in the second round. As the double winner of the last season announced on Friday afternoon, the Styrian duel against the TSV Egger Glas Hartberg two days before the match on Sunday (5 p.m., Ligaportal-LIVETICKER) is sold out. Only wheelchair spaces are still available.
Always close duels recently between SK Sturm and TSV Hartberg
With the support of the fans behind them, the team led by head coach Christian Ilzer is hoping to achieve its first victory of the season in the championship at the second attempt. After a false start with a 0-1 defeat at SK Rapid in Hütteldorf last Sunday, the “Schwoazn” want to score full points against TSV Hartberg, who also came away empty-handed in the first round (1-2 at home to LASK).
However, the blue-whites have proven to be tough opponents in recent duels. In their last encounter on May 5th in Graz-Liebenau, TSV managed a 1:1 draw. In March in Hartberg, the score was also 1:1. Schopp’s protégés will probably “sell themselves dearly” this time too.
