Stypka first encountered coronavirus in the spring. He was in contact with an infected nurse during chemotherapy. While in April two tests were negative and he ended up only in the preventive quarantine, in the current second wave he became infected.
The sad news was published on Sunday by the singer’s relatives. “We regret to announce that singer, composer and poet David Stypka succumbed to a long-term illness associated with covid-19 complications on January 10, 2021 at the age of 41,” the announcement said.
