“Stylish and Practical: The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Station Wagon from the 70s”

Are you looking for a large and practical car, but at the same time you would like something stylish and comfortable? We have one tip for you.

At the Dutch dealer Gallery Aldering up for grabs is a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow station wagon from the early 1970s. But of course it is not a factory station wagon, you would look for that in vain in the offer of a traditional British car manufacturer.

This Silver Shadow has undergone an interesting conversion, which is the responsibility of one Clyde Cassidy, an American Rolls-Royce car enthusiast. The seller claims that the transformation from a sedan to a station wagon in the 1970s swallowed more than 100 thousand US dollars. And that it is so successful that even the car company itself praised the quality of the execution in a letter to the owner.

The car should be from 1972, the mileage is 144,939 kilometers. In the ad we read about a 6.2-liter V8 under the hood, but from 1970 the Silver Shadow should use a larger engine, with a volume of 6.75 liters. In any case, the smaller one provided 128 kW, the larger one 141 kW.

In addition to the unusual and practical body, the luxury station wagon also impresses with its interior, which is dominated by dark blue color. The carpets and leather upholstery are blue. The dashboard is black, wood is also used abundantly, which can be found not only on the dashboard, but also on the center console and in the doors.

The seller is said to have a rich service history available. The price is 74,500 euros, which translates to about 1.59 million crowns.
