Shin Tae Yong happy with President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi) development plans training center for Indonesian National team in the Indonesian National Capital (IKN).
Shin Tae Yong assessed the development training center it could be a good foundation for the development of Indonesian football. Training center will be built in area 1B IKN Nusantara and is expected to be completed within one year.
“Pak Ketum now [Erick Thohir] also received a gift or gift from Mr. President [Jokowi]. So hopefully that [training center] could be a good foundation. Let there be developments for Indonesian football,” said Shin Tae Yong.
Shin Tae Yong is one of the figures who continues to echo its importance training center specifically for the Indonesian National Team. So far, the Indonesian National Team has not had a special place for training camps when needed.
“When I first came to Indonesia, there was none training center in Indonesia and I often emphasize that there must be TC for the progress of Indonesia. And now it’s finally here.”
“So we have to prove that we can also excel at the World Cup later. For that we have to be as maximal as possible,” said Shin Tae Yong.
Previously, Jokowi stated that there would be development training center for the Indonesian National Team. This development was financed by FIFA.
“The PSSI football field will soon be worked on and is expected to be completed in no more than one year.”
“This will be funded by FIFA to show that international trust, FIFA’s trust in IKN exists,” said Jokowi.
Erick Thohir was also enthusiastic about this development.
“It is a great honor, Mr [Jokowi] already decided on development training center in the middle of the city,” said Erick when accompanying Jokowi.
