Three days after the surprisingly clear 0:3 defeat, the favored Swabians clearly prevailed in game two on Friday evening with 3:0 (25:22, 25:16, 26:24) at SC Potsdam. A total of three successes are required to win the title. The cup winners from Stuttgart showed a highly concentrated performance after the home defeat against the outsider.
Allianz MTV superior from the start
Potsdam, who surprisingly knocked out defending champions Dresdner SC in the semifinals, could not repeat the strong performance from the first game. In front of 2,000 spectators, the women from Stuttgart clearly dominated from the start and showed a strong performance, especially in the attacking game. Allianz MTV Stuttgart won the first set with 25:22, in the second it became clearer with a 25:16. In the third set, the hosts from Potsdam clearly improved and were even able to take the lead for the first time in the game. But in the final phase, Tore Aleksandersen’s team made everything clear and also won the third set with 26:24.
On Wednesday Stuttgart welcomes Potsdam to the third game of the final series
The third game of the final series is scheduled for next Wednesday (8 p.m.) in Stuttgart, before things get back to business in Potsdam on May 6 (8 p.m.). Depending on the course, the decision in the final series could already be made there. A possible fifth game is scheduled two days later (7:15 p.m.).
