Shortly before the end of a five-year restructuring process, Lufthansa is withdrawing commitments to its employees. The possibility to move to other locations no longer exists. The union is considering going to court.

Stuttgart – The fear of losing their jobs is around the 60 or so Lufthansa employees who are currently still working at the so-called “decentralized station” at Manfred Rommel Airport in the Filder region. The airline with the crane also maintains such stations at the airports in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Hanover, Cologne, Nuremberg and Hamburg. They are all to be closed by May 2021, the stations at the air hubs in Frankfurt and Munich will remain. The employees at the stations look after the lounges and the passengers in the check-in.
