Sturm Graz player Javier Serrano will miss the Europa League game against Sporting because he swallowed a bee during team training. The Spanish midfielder was promptly treated with ice to prevent his neck from swelling and making it impossible to breathe. He was then transported to the hospital, where he received cortisone and is recovering.
According to the Austrian press, the footballer is not allergic to bees, otherwise the situation could be much more serious. The player has played five games for Sturm Graz.
