Images have surfaced on the internet showing a new smartwatch. It concerns the Watch S1 Active from Xiaomi, a more robust and sporty variant of the Watch S1 that appeared on the market at the end of last year.
The images come from the usually well-informed website 91Mobiles† According to the source, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active will have a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen, just like the regular Watch S1. The smartwatch does get a more robust housing with a silicone strap and sturdier buttons. On the right we see two buttons with the texts “home” and “sport”. The left side is not visible in the images, but we do see the texts “outdoor” and “active”. There are probably also two buttons on the left.
In terms of features, the Watch S1 Active will largely match the Watch S1. The smartwatch therefore gets a heart rate sensor and a sensor for measuring your blood oxygen level. The smartwatch is waterproof (5 ATM) and can register 117 different sports. The battery should last about 12 days and the Watch S1 Active comes on the market in the colors black, white and blue. It is still unclear whether the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active will also appear on the market in Europe, because the regular Watch S1 is currently only available in China.
