This image shows many stars and nebulae. Do you know anything?

A nebula is a celestial object in space that looks like a cloud of gas and small particles. Some nebulae shine brightly, while others absorb light and appear dark. It can also refer to a celestial object that looks like a cloud left after a star explodes.
Below are some of the stars and nebulas shown in this image (English names are in parentheses). Approximately from bottom left to top right,
- Seagull Nebula
- Barnard’s Loop
- Rosette Nebula
- Cone Nebula
- Rigel
- Orion Nebula
- Horsehead Nebula
- Monkey (or Monkeyhead) Nebula
- Jellyfish Nebula
- Aldebaran
- Spaghetti Nebula (Simeis 147)
- Tadpole Nebula
- Flaming Star Nebula
- Pleiades
- California Nebula
It becomes. The next image is the first image superimposed with the names of the celestial bodies that include these objects.

Alistair Symon, who took this image, spent over 800 hours taking 28 images in Arizona, USA, and combined them to create this large image. When photographing celestial objects that cannot be seen with the naked eye, such as some nebulas, it may take time to collect the light from the celestial body, or it may take a long time to stack many images taken in a short period of time. is. We often see images of individual celestial bodies, but when you look at this large image, you can see that there are many stars and nebulae even if you just cut out a part of the sky.
According to Symon, the images do not make the stars look too bright, but the images also include the famous constellations Orion and Taurus, which are mainly seen in winter in Japan. “Rigel” is a star in the constellation Orion, and “Aldebaran” is a star in the constellation Taurus, both of which are “first magnitude stars” that appear very bright. Slightly below the center of the image, there are three stars lined up diagonally above the Orion Nebula, and you can use these as landmarks to find the constellation Orion. Aldebaran is the star located at the bull’s eye, and in the image Taurus is in the upper right corner of Orion.
