Most popular models remained in the amount of 200-500 units throughout Russia. Is it a lot or a little? For example, in the last pre-crisis year for the car market, the bestseller KIA Rio was sold in the amount of more than 200 cars per day, and Volkswagen Polo – about 130 per day. That is, according to the old standards, such stocks would be enough for two or three days of work, according to less popular models – for a week or two.
It sounds defiant, but cars costing up to 2 million rubles today can be classified as budget cars, because their choice is limited to models that we used to classify as low-cost segment. So, in the warehouses of Russian dealers there are still several hundred Hyundai Solaris left, but their cost in one of the initial Active Plus configurations with a 1.6-liter engine starts from the region of 1.8–1.9 million rubles. Many dealers declare a discount of up to half a million rubles when buying in a trade-in and on credit. Among the remnants there are many cars with “automatic machines”, and the top versions of “Solaris” are offered at prices up to 2.5 million rubles. By the way, at the beginning of February 2022, Hyundai Solaris cost less than a million rubles.
