A new study shows that women who lead a healthy lifestyle can reduce their risk of covid in the long term.
The study, published in Jama Internal Medicine, looked at nearly 2,000 women who tested positive for COVID-19 between April 2020 and November 2021.
The researchers looked at six lifestyle factors that they defined as healthy.
This includes:
- • a body mass index of 18.5 to 24.7
- • never smoke
- • moderate alcohol consumption
- • a high-quality diet
- • seven to nine hours of sleep a night
- • and at least 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity per week
