Study Reveals Fish Oil Supplements may be “Worthless” and Misleading

Al-Marsad newspaper: A recent study revealed that the famous fish oil supplements may be “worthless” and may not provide any health benefit.

The study, conducted by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, showed that the labels on fish oil supplements contain “completely unfounded” health claims, according to the American newspaperNew York Post”.

He continued: “But what was surprising was the large number of health claims made, ranging from heart and brain health to joint health, eye health, and immunity.”

The study stressed that labels could indicate that this dietary supplement “supports immune function.”
