Jakarta: Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) has a variety principal, one of which is astronomy. Astronomy is the study of objects Paradise.
Company medcom can often be wrong and have the same view of astronomy as astrology. However, in reality the two sciences are very different.
Astronomy studies celestial bodies but not financial forecasts and even less love. Astronomy comes from the thinking of people thinking about how the universe was formed.

In general, astronomy uses mathematics and physics. This is so that all events occurring in space can not only be observed but also understood and modeled.
In addition to mathematics and physics, software development, programming, model analysis, and statistics are also subjects of study in the astronomy department. The astronomy study program consists of three areas of expertise, namely the solar system, the physics of stars and galaxies, and cosmology.
Citing the itb.ac.id page, during the lesson process, the astronomy department will teach students about satellite tracks that are more directed to astronautics. Additionally, there is an Introduction to Astronomical Instrumentation which introduces advances in instrumentation technology in astronomy and a calendar system which can later be used to determine the new moon i.e. the start of the month in the Islamic calendar system .
In the Solar System field, students will study the entire solar system. Including planets, asteroids, dwarf planets and others.
From the knowledge of the planets derive other sciences. Among them are the composition of the planet’s atmosphere and its satellites, looking for habitable planets outside the solar system.
In the field of star physics, students study the evolution of stars, how stars form from birth to death, and stellar spectra. Galaxies and Cosmology covers the composition and shape of galaxies, interstellar matter, quarks, up to the expansion of the universe.
The teaching process in the ITB Astronomy Study Program is also supported by the existence of the Bosscha Observatory as an astronomy laboratory which has been established since 1928. The laboratory for astronomy students itself is actually a boundless space and untouched by hands.
Job prospects for astronomy graduates include those in research. This opportunity is getting bigger and bigger because in Southeast Asia, more and more countries are aware of the importance of astronomy, building a network called SEAN (South East Asia Networking).
Additionally, there is a possibility that Indonesia will be contracted to become the HR center for the network. ITB Astronomy is still the only formal education in astronomy in Southeast Asia.
Graduates also have the opportunity to work in the teaching field. Graduates can become qualified teaching staff who can increase students’ interest in studying science.
Astronomy graduates can also work in the media, become columnists and editors in science magazines and journals, and present scientific concepts in creative ways. In addition to the above fields, astronomy graduates can work in other fields as well, such as as a software development systems analyst.
