Study: 80 Percent of Covid-19 Problems are Psychological and Stress Problems

JAKARTA – The Indonesian Covid-19 Task Force reports that 80% of Covid-19 problems are psychological problems, while the rest are physical health problems.

That is, psychological problems play a big role when facing a pandemic. This is also proven by other studies. A survey conducted by the Indonesian Psychiatric Association showed that of the 1,552 respondents, 63% admitted to experiencing anxiety and 66% experiencing depression due to the pandemic.

Clinical psychologist Inez Kristanti said that in addition to focusing on maintaining physical health, it is also necessary to maintain mental health and ensure the sanity of those closest to you.

“Since Work from Home, the boundaries of the realm and time for work and rest for some people have become more blurred. As if, we can relax. But always ready for work too. Therefore, it is important for us to create a clear partition and time limit between work and personal life,” he said.
