Studio Beside’s new work, ‘Project Star’, was unveiled at the Counterside Showcase.
Today (28th), Studio Bside held a showcase to announce the transfer of Counterside’s own service and future updates to be held in February at Free Up Studio. The showcase will be held in two parts from 17:00, and in the first part, director Park Sang-yeon announced the overall contents of the update that will be applied to the counterside, which will be transferred to its own service on February 8th.
Subsequently, Studio Bside released a teaser video of the new project “Project Star” under development during a break to announce the roadmap for the first half of 2023 and prepare for Q&A for part 2. In the teaser, a character with a silhouette similar to the awakening version of Maria Antonov, the main character of Counterside, appears. However, unlike Counterside, which has the theme of apocalypse and urban fantasy, it created a completely different atmosphere by focusing on the fantasy-style city and blue sky.
Detailed information on the synopsis, character information, and worldview of Project Star has not yet been released, but the scene where the main characters go on a road with arms armed after seeing a notice posted on a bulletin board and a piece of paper that looks like a bounty is a quest through a guild. It is presumed to have adopted the composition of a traditional fantasy RPG that receives orders and achieves them. On the other hand, the main character’s weapon is similar to the weapon Yumina, the main character of Counterside, and the phrase ‘Administration’ is written on it, so you can get a glimpse of some of the links with Counterside.
The platform and related information of Studio Bside’s new work, ‘Project Star’, will be additionally disclosed at a later date.
