The entertainment company Studio 100 opened its brand new Story Studio on the Meir in Antwerp on Saturday. Studio 100 CEO Hans Bourlon and Mayor Bart De Wever (N-VA) together cut the ribbon that was stretched in front of the entrance door. In the Story Studio ‘immersive stories’ are told, stories that are brought to life through projections.

“As soon as you walk in, you literally step into the story through the life-size projections. At this location, we tell a story in a completely new way where you are led from space to space and each time you end up in a whole new world. I am very curious about the reaction of the public”, said Hans Bourlon.
The very latest projection techniques are used in the Story Studio. The audio story through headphones makes the experience even stronger. According to Studio 100, it is the very first time in Belgium that stories are told in this way.
“I am delighted that Studio 100 in Antwerp is investing in a pleasant and accessible experience for young and old. The city is gradually revitalizing and with this initiative, the offer for a fun outing as a family grows in a safe way. I can recommend that to everyone,” said Mayor De Wever.
The first story that will be shown is ‘Destination Atlantis’. Archaeologist Jane Clarke takes visitors on a swim in the Atlantic Ocean and finds the remains of what was once a bustling city. James Cooke, Sven De Ridder, Tine Embrechts, Peter Van de Velde and Rik Verheye lent their voices to the characters.
Destination Atlantis, which opens to the general public on Sunday, is intended for the whole family. Due to access in very small groups and all other measures, this experience is 100 percent corona-proof. Info and tickets can be found here.
