The director of the Administrative Department of Municipal Planning (DAPM), Roy Barreras, indicated that through the Urban Renovation Company (EMRU) the contracting of the previous studies was advanced, which are the studies that will serve as input for the detailed designs from the Bulevar de San Antonio. Among them are the mobility study, the archaeological heritage, the environmental and the structural.
For his part, the Secretary of Infrastructure, Néstor Martínez Sandoval, indicated that “a work team has been assigned, initially from the DAPM, which is responsible for adjusting the designs, to carry out this project from a traffic point of view. From a structural point of view, a merit contest will be held ”.
According to Barreras, the objective is that the architectural design is an emblematic design, “and for that we are going to make a public call so that the different architects of our country can offer us their proposals and, in this sense, we Cali can choose the most viable and innovative proposal ”, he said.
This important infrastructure work, which will collapse Calle 5 from Carrera 10 to Carrera 4, seeks to improve the road, pedestrian and public transport connection in Cali and also to recover the connection between the historic center and the west of the city.
